thanks.md (4594B)
1 This is a "thanks page." 2 3 [About](/about), 4 [now](https://nownownow.com/about), 5 and [uses](https://uses.tech) pages 6 are nice formulas, 7 standardized yet flexible ways for people visiting your site to get to know you better, 8 each from a slightly different angle. 9 10 The thanks page is also meant to bring the reader and author closer together. 11 By saying "hey, thanks" to folks who made a difference that day, 12 it gets back to that old idea that we create each other in our relationships. 13 The author gets to reflect on and state the positive thing, and the reader, 14 whether or not he or she is the one being thanked, 15 can get a kick out of watching joy and kindness flourish in the world. 16 17 It's a little more personal and permanent than a thumbs up on a post 18 on whichever social media platform dominates at the moment, 19 and fits well with a 20 [Slow Web](https://www.jackcheng.com/the-slow-web/) aesthetic. 21 22 If you like this idea 23 and decide to make your own thanks page, 24 please do, 25 and [let me know](/contact). I'll link to your page here. 26 27
28 29 --- 30 31
32 33 34 2023-11-26 35 36 37
38 Jen, Cody, et al. 39
40 41
42 Thanks for hanging out and helping out!
